DESCRIPTION: This site was formerly used by SSM St. Joseph Hospital and will be redeveloped into a retirement center. When completed this project will consist of a 250 Unit Building with two four story towers each containing 125 independent-living apartments and underground parking, A two-story building for the care of people with memory problems having 15 suites, eighteen attached single-family "cottage homes," clustered in sets of two or three units, a two-story "catered living" building with 30 units, a commons building that is two stories on one side and three stories on the other, a multipurpose two-story community gathering building with kitchen attached to the commons building and an aquatic and wellness center with a spa. This project will involve the complete demolition of the existing 20 bed hospital, annex buildings and parking lots. Due to its age, the site has many large fine specimen trees on the site. The site is also located amid existing single family residential areas. As such special grading and construction efforts will be uses to save as many of theses old trees as possible along with other efforts to help the new complex fit with the surrounding residential areas.

DESCRIPTION: The proposed project continues BJC's expansion of it's health care facility in St. Peters. The specific project includes a 5,453 square foot building addition which will connect the existing outpatient surgery center to the Siteman cancer center building. As part of this project, the drive and parking lot will be shortened and utilities relocated in the area affected to accomodate the addition. The connection of the building requires a lot consolidation to create one lot.

CLIENT: St. Louis Community College
DESCRIPTION: Clayton Engineering is currently acting as a consultant to the St. Louis Community College District on an as needed basis to assist them with improvements and additions to their existing three campuses and with the planning and construction related to their newest campus on Highway 109 in West St. Louis County. We have assisted in negotiations with local municipalities and highway departments and have designed needed drainage improvements. Other similar services will continue to be performed as the need arises.
